Showcasing India’s Logistics Innovations to BIMSTEC Delegation

NLDS showcased the Logistics Data Bank (LDB) and the Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP) Services to 20 senior officials from 7 BIMSTEC nations as part of the 2nd Trade Facilitation Capacity Building Program, hosted by ICRIER with support from the Ministry of External Affairs and the Asian Development Bank (ADB). The session, led by COO, NLDSL, Arvind Devaraj highlighted the role of LDB and ULIP in enabling real-time container tracking and democratising logistics data to drive impactful, data-led decisions.

The interaction focused on the real-world impact of such innovations in improving trade flows and logistics efficiency across India. Delegates engaged actively, particularly around the implementation and scalability of these platforms. The 12-day program addressed both foundational and emerging themes in trade facilitation—ranging from national single windows and paperless trade to e-commerce, green logistics, gender inclusion, and the role of technology in customs operations.
